The Transformation Begins!

Big weekend in the Anderson household. Steph picked out a crib, furniture, bedding, and more for Madelyn. It was my job to start transforming the baby room. I will post pictures of my progress. I bought new hardwood flooring and just got done ripping up the carpet and putting KILZ on the walls. Gotta protect Madelyn from Mold, you know? I got the walls spackled. I just have to buy paint, install the floor, decorate, you know..nothing too big :)

Ahhhh That was My favorite part of the pregnacy. was transforming the room from my Game room/Office to the Babies room. It felt like the room had a real purpose after the job was done. Me and my wife had so much fun picking out stuff and the colors and putting carpet in. For a newly married couple it is a great bonding experince that should only be shared between parents. Have fun

Have fun, The favorite part of our pregnacy was putting the babies room together. Shopping for colors, themes, and other accesories, then painting (I did most of because my wife could not work with paint). Putting everything together and figuring out where to put everything. It was a great bonding experince for our young marriage, 10 months at the time and the baby was still 2 1/2 months away. So take your time and have fun. Later

Be sure to think about things that will keep her safe as she grows! Outlet covers, make sure the window treatments do not have cords, watch the kind of doors you have on her closet. Please be sure to anchor the dresser to a stud in the wall. Every year thousands of children are injured and/or killed when they try to climb up a dresser and it falls on them. No, she won't be able to do anything like that for a couple of years, but the years pass quickly, why not plan ahead?
Good luck with it all!

How exciting to decorate the nursery! My husband and I are expecting our first child. We just learned a little over a week ago that we're having a girl. We have already picked her name, and we also plan to start the nursery this weekend. We have had so much fun already choosing the theme and colors. I can't wait to see the finished result for both your nursery and ours!
